1955 165cc H-D | #HDMuseum

Bill R. twists the throttle of his 1955 165cc lightweight while we record audio for the Museum’s new Engine Wall interactive.

This bike features a two-stroke single-cylinder engine. Between 1948 and 1966, H-D produced several different lightweight models meant to appeal to the youngsters. The tiny two-cycle single engines had fewer parts, but were less efficient than the four-cycle versions.

1909 Single | #HDMuseum

To capture the sounds of vintage H-D engines for the Museum’s Engine Wall exhibit, it was a no-brainer to call on Dale Walksler from Wheels Through Time museum.

Dale’s incredible collection of runners includes this 1909 single that employs an atmospheric valve system.
